Vectorizer.ai traces a bitmap you already have. The homepage says to vectorize PNG, JPG, GIF, and WebP images to clean SVG, PDF, EPS, and DXF vectors online, and the same page adds BMP plus a cleaned-up PNG. Pixels become geometric shapes, then a full interactive preview. Previewing your own images does not require a subscription. Downloading them does. The Web App row is $9.99 / month and has no API access. Apps and scripts use a separate credit table after a free test mode.
Choose Vectorizer.ai when the art is already pixels and you need an outline for a design app, a printer, or a CNC path. Judge the trace on the preview. Palette size, a pre-crop, and export options for curves and grouping are the named controls. Skip it to invent a picture from a sentence, mock interface screens, or build a 3D scene. Skip it too if you need a published pixel cap, a retention period. The $9.99 browser row does not include API calls.
A good fit for
Tracing a logo, icon, or scanned drawing into SVG, EPS, PDF, or DXF after you have judged the preview.
Making a DXF path for CAD or CNC when you can crop to the art and check fitted circles in your own software.
Calling the same trace from an app, script, or CI job, starting in free test mode before you buy credits.
Know the trade-offs
Your own production download is paid. The unpaid paths are the interactive preview, example-image downloads, and API test mode.
The $9.99 Web App plan has no API access. Credits roll over only up to five times the monthly amount, leftovers are lost on cancel, and fees are non-refundable.
Pixels in, fitted shapes and four vector formats out.
Drop a bitmap in the browser
The homepage opens on a drop zone and tells you to vectorize PNG, JPG, GIF, and WebP images to clean SVG, PDF, EPS, and DXF vectors online. BMP is listed with those inputs. It says no software installation required - everything runs directly in your browser. Drag, the file picker, or CTRL + V starts the job. Process turns the pixel grid into geometric shapes. Download is an interactive preview, then SVG, EPS, DXF, PDF, or cleaned-up PNG. SVG is the default. Includes, cut, and embroidery are the named uses. No user input is required to produce a result, while crop, palette, and export options remain available beside that pass.
The page says: We support fully parameterized circles, ellipses, rounded rectangles, and stars, all with optionally rounded corners and arbitrary rotation angles. Other edges can be straight lines, circular arcs, elliptical arcs, or quadratic and cubic Bezier curves. That set is used instead of forcing every curve into cubic Beziers. Tangent matching, curve fairing, and corners run in the Vector Graph so neighboring shapes stay aligned. Palette size is detected and can be changed. Faint boundaries are simplified. Mirror and rotational symmetry can be modeled. Sub-pixel marks follow anti-aliasing values. Color is 32-bit with an alpha channel, and partial transparency is supported. Only the cropped area counts against your resolution limit. No pixel maximum is shown.
Using the Web App you can upload, vectorize, and preview as many images as you like without commitment, then subscribe when you are ready to download production results. Example-image vectors are a separate free download for testing your own software. On a real download you can control how shapes are drawn, how they are grouped, and other format-specific options. File-format version and curve types are the compatibility knobs. Results are said to follow format standards, while not every app is fully compliant. Automated output adds grouping, shape stacking, sizing, and gap filling for SVG, DXF, PDF, EPS, and PNG. Stroke width and DPI are not given.
The Web App block has no API access. The pricing page says it is free to integrate with and test out the API, no subscription required. Test mode is for building and inspecting requests before production output is billed. SDKs cover TypeScript and JavaScript, Java, C# and.NET, Go, PHP, and Ruby. Python is pending PyPI approval. The CLI runs on Windows, macOS, and Linux. HTTP uses Basic auth with an API Id and API Secret against POST /api/v1/vectorize, POST /api/v1/download, POST /api/v1/delete, and GET /api/v1/account. Calls accept a file, URL, base64, or a retained token. SDK, CLI, and HTTP share the engine. Inputs are PNG, JPG, WebP, GIF, and BMP. Outputs are SVG, PDF, EPS, DXF, or PNG. Rate limits are named without a number.
A suggested logo pass is PNG or JPG in, an automatic trace, then the preview for letter counters and palette size. SVG is the default. EPS or PDF is the includes option on the format list. Scans of drawings are in the image-type note. There is no threshold slider or brush. A messy photo background is answered with a tighter crop or fewer colors.
A cut path for CAD or CNC
DXF is listed for CAD and CNC. A suggested order is to crop to the part, trace, and check that circles and rounded rectangles stayed whole shapes. Your own DXF is a paid production download. Units, scale, and kerf are not stated. Gap filling is named and has no default. Example vectors can be downloaded free to test a CAD reader. That sample is not your part.
Traces inside another product
If no person reviews each image, the pricing page says to use an API plan, not the unlimited Web App plan. Is test mode, then a credit row for average volume, with rollover up to five times that amount. The end-user preview is a watermarked PNG at 0.200 credits, four times the input. One credit is one API image. Zero credits returns 402 Payment Required.
How to get started with Vectorizer.ai
1
Bring the bitmap in
Drag, pick, or paste a PNG, JPG, GIF, BMP, or WebP.
2
Crop and fix the palette only if needed
Crop to the region you want traced, and change the palette if the color count is wrong.
3
Read the interactive preview
Inspect the interactive preview. A result does not require extra input.
4
Download, or send the API call
Subscribe for your own SVG, EPS, DXF, PDF, or PNG. Example files download free. API work starts in test mode.
The Web App block is for people, has no API access, and reads: Billed monthly, cancel anytime. $9.99 / month. It is marked most popular. A USD and EUR selector, and no euro amount was. API access is separate. One credit equals one API image, also billed monthly, with unused credits rolling over up to five times the monthly amount. The public rows are 50 credits at $9.99/month ($0.200), 100 at $18.99/month ($0.190), 200 at $34.99/month ($0.175), 500 at $74.99/month ($0.150), 1,000 at $139.99/month ($0.140), 2,000 at $249.99/month ($0.125), 5,000 at $549.99/month ($0.110), 10,000 at $949.99/month ($0.095), 15,000 at $1,299.99/month ($0.087), 20,000 at $1,629.99/month ($0.081), 25,000 at $1,929.99/month ($0.077), 50,000 at $3,179.99/month ($0.064), 75,000 at $4,169.99/month ($0.056), and 100,000 at $4,999.99/month ($0.050).

You need new illustration or icons and you do not already have a bitmap to trace.
Vectorizer.ai starts from a bitmap and fits shapes into SVG, EPS, DXF, PDF, or PNG. Recraft is a separate listing for generating artwork. Use it when the job begins with a prompt rather than a file.
The deliverable is an interface mock, not a logo outline or a cut path.
Vectorizer.ai traces a bitmap into SVG, EPS, PDF, or DXF for includes, web, or a cut file. Uizard is a separate listing for interface screens. Choose it when the output should be a UI mock.
You are building a 3D scene in the browser instead of a flat vector file.
Vectorizer.ai converts a flat raster into 2D shapes and curves. It does not describe a 3D scene. Spline AI is the listing for browser 3D work. Move there when the job is a scene rather than an SVG or DXF trace.
Vectorizer.ai: common questions
What do I pay to download my own vector?
The Web App row is $9.99 / month with unlimited web images and no API access. Previewing your own images is unpaid. Downloading them is the subscription. Example-image results can be downloaded free.
PNG, JPG, GIF, BMP, and WebP go in. SVG, EPS, DXF, PDF, and cleaned-up PNG come out of the browser. API production files are SVG, PDF, EPS, DXF, or PNG. SVG is the default.
How is the Web App plan different from an API plan?
A person uses the Web App to upload, preview, adjust export options, and download. Software with no one in the loop needs an API plan. The $9.99 block includes no API access. One credit equals one API image, on rows from 50 to 100,000 a month.
Do unused API credits last, and what happens at zero?
Unused credits roll over up to five times the monthly amount. At zero, requests return 402 Payment Required. Auto-renew is opt-in on the account page after an API key exists. Leftover credits are lost on cancel, and fees are non-refundable.
Yes. It is free to integrate with and test out the API, no subscription required. Test mode does not require an API subscription. Watermarked PNG previews for end users cost 0.200 credits and are four times the input.
