Is STORYD right for you?

STORYD fits a business update where the hard part is the structure, not a blank canvas. It is a weak fit if you need one price. Annually and Monthly, then Pro at $18/mo with “Save 25%,” Automate at $100/mo with “Save 33%,” and a second pair at $24/mo and $150/mo. Private structures are $500/mo. Pro lists unlimited credits. Automate lists 50 presentation credits per month plus API Access. The use policy says automation scripts are not permitted and flags accounts above 250 presentation major versions a month.

A good fit for

  • People who can describe a presentation in a few sentences and then pick a structure.
  • Teams that want to upload an existing deck so STORYD can extract a theme and font.
  • Readers comparing 5 free credits with Pro’s unlimited credits and Automate’s 50-credit line.

Know the trade-offs

  • Two monthly prices are shown for Pro and for Automate, with save percentages only on the lower pair.
  • The terms cap use at 250 presentations per monthly period, and the use policy repeats a 250-version review flag.

What STORYD says happens after the topic.

Write the topic, then pick a structure

The homepage’s “How does STORYD work?” block is three numbered steps. First, your topic: write a few sentences about your presentation. Second, business structure: select a best practice communication structure. Third, professional deck: get a high-end business deck in 60 seconds. The hero also says presentations are created in seconds. The privacy policy says topics are used to return a script and a presentation. It also says a company name and phone number can create a Contact Me slide.

Rephrase, brainstorm, and add charts

The ideas section says to modify your story with rephrase, brainstorm, shorter and longer. You can add your own ideas and collaborate live with colleagues in a real-time experience. Multimedia on the page means text, lists, images, charts, and numbers. A separate line says to use the AI to brainstorm more content ideas or switch storytelling approaches. Story Starters are pre-written business storytelling presentations. You browse by industry or department, copy and customize a starter, and edit the topic and slide structure. Free says “5 credits (to create or rewrite).” Pro says unlimited credits. Automate says 50 presentation credits per month. The pages do not define the unit.

Official documentation

Set the theme or extract one from a deck

The design block says you can see a visual preview of each slide and set a theme, font, and color. You can upload an existing deck to have STORYD extract your organizational theme and font. Your own choices cover theme, font, colors, logo, footer, date, and page number. Layouts are described as 100s of options, each fully optimized for data storytelling. Free includes professional business templates, custom themes and branding, present from browser, and export to PowerPoint, Google Slides, Keynote and Canva. Pro adds priority access, team collaboration, and real time editing on top of everything in Free. Automate lists unlimited users, branded themes, and API Access, plus $500/mo per private structure. Automate does not say it includes Pro’s unlimited credits.

Official documentation

Share a link, with the policy limits beside it

The privacy policy says you can share a presentation with a public link or an email invitation, and that a public link may be reachable from search engines. Automated systems analyze topics so generated content is not hateful, threatening, violent, sexual, or promoting self-harm. Named services are storyd.ai, app.storyd.ai, Microsoft Office Add-Ins, and Google Slides add-ons. The acceptable-use policy forbids scripts and says automation is not permitted at this time. More than 250 presentation major versions per month, or equivalent Ideas pane usage, flags a review, including above 250 per user on an unlimited account. Shared logins are refused. The terms state a maximum of 250 presentations created per monthly period and a one-year subscription with at least 30 days’ notice before non-renewal.

Ways to use STORYD

Draft a decision meeting from notes

Suggested when the audience needs a decision, not a tour of every metric. Write a few sentences about your presentation that state the decision, the constraint, and the ask. Then select a best practice communication structure rather than asking for “a deck about Q3.” Spend a free credit on the first pass only if 5 credits is the budget. The page says a credit covers create or rewrite.

Reuse a company theme from an old file

Suggested when brand control matters more than a new layout. Upload an existing deck to have STORYD extract your organizational theme and font, then set logo, footer, date, and page number yourself. Choose from 100s of layout options only after that theme is in place. Free-plan exports named on the page are PowerPoint, Google Slides, Keynote, and Canva. Suggested as a handoff path only.

Start from a department story starter

Suggested when the topic is ordinary and the structure is not. Browse story starters by industry or department, copy one, and edit the topic and slide structure. Use rephrase, shorter, or longer on the slides that do not match the room. If several people will edit, Pro is the plan that names team collaboration and real time editing. Suggested only.
