Parsio

Parsio extracts structured data from PDFs, emails, invoices, receipts, and scans. Four engines are listed: a GPT parser, a template parser, an AI parser for common document types, and an OCR converter. Documents can arrive by a Parsio inbox address, a file upload, or an API call, then leave as Excel, CSV, JSON, a Google Sheet, or a webhook. Free is 30 credits a month with no credit card. Starter includes both $24 and $41. The plan cards and the comparison table do not agree on team size or priority support.

Is Parsio right for you?

Use Parsio when a repeated email or PDF should become rows you can export. Pick the engine from the credit table, not from the marketing line alone. Template and OCR are 1 credit per page. The GPT parser is 2. The AI parser is 3, and the page says to use it when the GPT parser does not work. A page spends credits only the first time it is parsed, and credits renew monthly. Free shows 30 credits, 15 pages, and 30 OCR on the card, with 30-day retention in both the card and the table. Do not treat the card's unlimited team members and priority support as settled: the comparison lists 1 user on Free and Starter, and dashes for priority support on the first three columns.

A good fit for

  • Invoices, receipts, statements, or inbox mail with a layout you can name.
  • A test on 30 credits before paying the $24 or $41 Starter figure.
  • Sending parsed rows to Sheets, a file download, or a webhook.

Know the trade-offs

  • Starter is $24/mo billed $290/year and, separately, $41/mo for 1,000 credits.
  • Plan cards list unlimited team members and priority support on every tier. The comparison table does not.
  • The AI code assistant is on the Free card and marked with a dash in the Free comparison column.
  • Capterra stars, the 10,000-business line, and customer hour-saved quotes are vendor statements.

What Parsio parses and how credits are spent.

Choose one of four parser engines

The pricing page says Parsio offers four parser types so you can choose the most cost-efficient one. The GPT-powered parser is the default. Works for any document type, including invoices, receipts, bank statements, resumes/CVs, and emails. Setup is a prompt, output is structured data, and the rate is 2 credits per page. The template parser is for documents and emails with a fixed layout. You create reusable extraction templates, no AI required, at 1 credit per page. The homepage says you highlight the text to extract when you build a template. The AI parser uses pre-trained models for 15+ common document types and says to use it only when the GPT-powered parser does not work. Setup is none, and the rate is 3 credits per page. A homepage banner says the AI parser now costs 3 credits per page. The OCR converter turns scanned documents and images into text only, at 1 credit per page. The homepage also says Parsio is trained to recognize handwritten and shown text in Latin and European languages, and that tables can have a variable number of rows. Named document types include invoices, receipts, bank statements, business cards, identity documents, and W-2 forms.

Bring a file in, then export the rows

The knowledge base quick start says to create an inbox, a unique address in the form example@io.parsio.io. You then send emails with attachments, upload files, or use the API and tools such as Zapier and Make. Parsio extracts data according to the parser type. Download the result as Excel, CSV, or JSON, send it through webhooks, or connect Google Sheets. The same help index lists Make, n8n, Pabbly Connect, cloud storage for attachments, and forwarding from Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo, and iCloud. Attachment types named on the homepage are PDF, HTML, XLSX, CSV, DOCX, XML, and TXT. Built-in email templates are named for HARO, Airbnb, LinkedIn, and Etsy. Integrations called out on the homepage include Google Sheets, Slack, QuickBooks, and Google Drive. The pricing comparison also lists export to Excel, CSV, and JSON, plus webhooks and an API row. The public API article says you can import a Postman collection, send HTML or plain text in the request, or upload a PDF or other file as binary.

Read credits as a monthly pool, not a per-document fee

Prices unchanged since we launched — no surprise increases, ever. The page says all prices are in USD. Credits renew monthly and are shared across parsers. A page uses credits only the first time it's parsed. A line above the calculator says 1–3 credits per parsed page depending on parser type, which matches the 1, 2, and 3 credit rates shown under the four engines. The public calculator, next to Growth's 5,000 credits, includes approximate page prices: 2,500 pages a month at about $0.050 per page for the GPT parser, 5,000 pages at about $0.025 for templates, 1,666 pages at about $0.074 for the AI parser, and 5,000 pages at about $0.025 for OCR. Those figures are what that view of the page shows. They are not a second price list for the Free 30-credit tier. The homepage's "67% more" banner is a vendor line about the 3-credit AI parser, not a measurement from this profile.

Hold the plan card next to the comparison table

The cards and the comparison do not describe the same limits. Free is 30 credits a month, labeled 15 pages and 30 OCR, with no credit card required and 30-day retention. The Free card also lists four parser engines, export, advanced post-processing, an AI code assistant, unlimited team members, and priority support. The comparison calls that column Sandbox, says Free forever, and lists 30 credits, 30 days, 1 user, a dash for the AI code assistant, and dashes for priority support. Starter on the card is a slider from 100 to 1,000 credits at $24 per month, billed $290 a year, labeled 50 pages and 100 OCR, with 90-day retention. The credit table separately includes Starter at 100 credits for $24/mo and Starter at 1,000 credits for $41/mo. Growth is 5,000 credits at $124 per month, billed $1490 a year, labeled 2,500 pages and 5,000 OCR, with 90-day retention. Business is a slider from 12,000 to 100,000 credits at $249 per month, billed $2990 a year, labeled 6,000 pages and 12,000 OCR, with 180-day retention. Above 100,000 credits, the page says to contact them for a custom plan. The comparison's "from" row is $24 and $124 and $249 per month, and its team row is 1 user, 1 user, Unlimited, and Unlimited.

Ways to use Parsio

Invoice or receipt rows

A suggested accounts path is to send supplier PDFs to the Parsio inbox or upload them, use the GPT parser when the layout changes, and export the fields to Google Sheets or QuickBooks. The homepage names both of those destinations. The AI parser is the fallback the pricing page describes for common document types when GPT does not work, at 3 credits per page instead of 2. Check retention before you rely on old files: 30 days on Free, 90 on Starter and Growth, 180 on Business.

A mailbox with a stable layout

For mail that always looks the same, the template parser is the 1-credit option. A suggested setup is the help-center inbox, a highlight-to-extract template, and a webhook or Sheet at the end. Built-in templates are named for HARO, Airbnb, LinkedIn, and Etsy, and the help index has articles for Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo, and iCloud forwarding. If the layout drifts, the pricing page points you at the GPT parser instead of the template. The sequence is suggested. It is not a mailbox this profile connected.

Scans and photos

OCR is the text-only engine at 1 credit per page, for scanned documents and images. A suggested use is a stack of scans that only need machine-readable text, not structured invoice fields. The homepage says recognition covers handwritten and shown text in Latin and European languages. It does not list a broader language set in the public pages. Structured fields from a scan would be a different engine, and a different credit rate.

From $24/mo, from $124/mo, and from $249/mo are the comparison labels. $41/mo appears only on the 1,000-credit Starter row in the public calculator, with no annual bill next to it. $0.050, $0.025, and $0.074 are the approximate per-page amounts on the 5,000-credit view. Above 100,000 credits the page says to ask for a custom plan and does not show that price. Customer quotes about hours saved, a 4.9/5 Capterra line, and 10,000+ businesses are on the site as marketing. They are not results from this profile.

Parsio: common questions

Is Parsio free, or only a trial?

The pricing page shows a Free plan with 30 credits a month and says no credit card is required. The comparison calls that column Sandbox and Free forever. It is not described as a calendar-limited trial. The same card lists priority support and unlimited team members, which the comparison table does not.

Why are there two Starter prices?

The Starter is $24 per month, billed $290 a year, beside a slider from 100 to 1,000 credits. The credit calculator is $24/mo for 100 credits and $41/mo for 1,000 credits. Growth and Business stay at $124 and $249 on both the card and that calculator. The public page does not explain the $41 row in a footnote.

Source
How many credits does one page cost?

Template and OCR are 1 credit per page. The GPT parser is 2. The AI parser is 3. Credits renew monthly and are shared across parsers. A page uses credits only the first time it's parsed. The approximate dollar amounts $0.025, $0.050, and $0.074 are shown on the 5,000-credit view, not as a universal rate card.

Source
Does Parsio have an API?

Yes. The help quick start says you can use the API, along with Zapier and Make, to import documents. The public API article describes a Postman collection, an HTML and text request, and a PDF or file upload. The pricing comparison includes an API row.

Source
How long is parsed data kept?

The comparison lists 30 days, 90 days, 90 days, and 180 days across Free, Starter, Growth, and Business.

Source
What should I ignore on the marketing sections?

It includes 4.9/5 on Capterra, 10,000+ businesses, and customer lines about hours saved. The pricing page repeats customer testimonials. Those are vendor quotes.
