Ideabuddy

Ideabuddy keeps the narrative, a one-page model, and the numbers in one project. The homepage says it takes you through every step of your entrepreneurial journey, from the initial spark to execution of your business idea. Public pieces are a Guide, a Financial Plan, a plan that fills from those steps, a canvas, a validation test, AI writing, and Word, PDF, or Excel exports.

Is Ideabuddy right for you?

Ideabuddy fits one idea that still needs a fixed sequence, not a ledger you already keep. The Guide collects the offer, the market, startup costs, funding, a team, a revenue model, and costs. From that revenue model it will generate a profit and loss projection along with your cash flow forecast. Your business plan will automatically fill out as the Guide is completed. Named offers are Free Trial, Dreamer, Founder, an Enterprise plan, and White Label, with no currency figure.

A good fit for

  • A founder who wants the Guide to collect concept, market, launch, and revenue before a plan file exists.
  • Someone who needs a profit and loss projection and a cash flow forecast from a revenue model.
  • A founder and one mentor who will share view or edit access, then export.

Know the trade-offs

  • Public pricing text has no currency amount. Review pages in search discuss prices; those figures are not used.
  • The trial names 15 days on the Canvas, Guide, and Financial Plan, and not what remains on day 16.
  • Customer quotes on the site are vendor-published, not measured outcomes.

What the Guide, canvas, and plan editor collect.

Guide steps and named templates

The Guide runs from the concept to opening the doors. You write a value proposition, a marketing and sales strategy, and key partners. Market fields ask you to find out how big your market is, understand who your potential customers are, analyze your competition, and calculate full market potential. Launch fields are startup costs, funding, a team, and what it takes to raise the idea. Named templates include Tech Startup, Coffee Shop, Restaurant, Clothing Line, Hotel, and five others. Separate footer tools, from a business-idea generator to a user-persona generator, have no public instructions. The nine writing languages are not listed, and they are not the same as the interface language menu.

Financial Plan and the one-page canvas

You define a revenue model, estimate marketing and other costs, and the guide page says the product will generate a profit and loss projection along with your cash flow forecast. The homepage adds a monthly, quarterly, or yearly summary, financial reports, and an Excel export. The assistant can help estimate revenue and expenses. The Idea Plan canvas is the early one-page model, with editable templates, collaboration, and PDF or Word export. No scenario slider is described.

Plan file, score, and handoff

The plan document fills from the Guide rather than starting blank. After it fills, you customize the look, choose what to include, and export PDF or Word. The Founder card is where the pricing page writes the business plan editor and the validation test that returns a score, plus sharing with mentors and PDF, Word, or Excel downloads. The Free Trial card only shows those two names as labels, so they are not counted as trial features here. Homepage validation, before any plan name, is a test of viability, feasibility, assumptions, and improvements. Questions and the score scale are not shown. Exports are a Word document, a PDF, an Excel file, or a partner link.

Writing help, credits, and editors

Suggestions cover product ideas, marketing strategies, and financial estimates. Prose help can auto-write, fix grammar, and adjust the tone of your writing, in nine languages, from notes you already have or from a blank page. Those languages, the model, and an off switch are not named. AI Assistance is on every plan, including the free trial. Request credits refill each billing cycle and last for the plan. Credits bought on the AI Assistance page do not expire and are used first. Invites grant view or edit access. That card also caps the account at 1 Collaborator and 1 Idea.

Ways to use Ideabuddy

Start from a named template

For a coffee shop, restaurant, or clothing line is to open that template and answer the Guide in order: concept, market, launch costs, then the revenue model. The plan fills from those answers. Hand over Word or PDF for the story and Excel for the figures. If the idea is still a sketch, Dreamer is described as the ideal starting point if your idea is still only a sketch.

Forecast before you build a workbook

When you can explain revenue but do not want to design a sheet: enter the revenue model and the other costs, then read the monthly, quarterly, or yearly summary. Use estimate help only as the pages describe it, and export Excel if a mentor will edit outside Ideabuddy. Signups get days of free access to the Canvas, Guide, and Financial Plan, with no credit card required. It says try free for 15 days, choose a plan later, and it includes 10 AI requests. The editor and the scored test are on the Founder card, not in that trial sentence.

One mentor, or a cohort

A suggested founder-and-mentor setup follows the Free Trial line: 1 Idea and 1 Collaborator, view or edit access, then a link or PDF for everyone else. The Founder card is the one that spells out sharing plans, financial plans, or canvases with investors. A cohort is a contact sale. The Enterprise plan is for an entrepreneurship center, business incubator or a large organization that needs more accounts. Schools and non-profits are offered a discount with no percentage shown. White Label is Get a quote under your own brand and domain.
